Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Midiflow splitter won’t state-save

I save the preset with one synth in the upper keyboard zone and the other in the lower, but when I re-open it the upper one is always bumped to the lower. I’m ready to give up on it and just do splits via streambyter.

  • What DAW/host are you using? Some apps unfortunately have this issue, as a workaround I save the preset in the host. If working in a host like AUM, it allows you to do that. Then when I reload the project in AUM, I then load the saved preset in the app.

  • I am talking about AB as host, which says "Splitter State Saved" when I save the preset, but it does not correctly save the upper/lower zone assignments.

  • Yep, also happens with me running this in AB. It's a bug which has never been addressed, and is unlikely to ever be... I only use AB on an older iPad still running Alchemy but I can see that I may soon need to abandon beloved Alchemy, the old iPad and AB. It's just getting too much of a hassle.
