Lightning CCK with Air 4?

Does anyone know if I could use a lightning to USB C adapter to use my CCK if I get an Air 4? I really don't wanna have to drop another $70 just to be able to power the iPad while I'm using it.

    I’m pretty sure the answer is no it won’t work. I cannot verify that for 100% sure as I never tried it. I would plan on expecting that to not work.

    You can use just about any USB C hub if you don’t want to buy the apple adapter. If you need to power it at the same time then make sure it has power delivery pass through charging on it.
