Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

iPad Send MIDI to Fantom over USB
Hi. Anyone using an iPad Pro with USB-C to control a Roland Fantom? Going direct with a USB-C to USB-B cable (like a printer cable) into the back of the Fantom and trying to use the sequencers on the iPad to drive the Fantom, but not getting any sound from the Fantom. So wondering if this is possible.

Tested as well with a Montage and the Montage MIDI ports show up automatically in iPad apps like AUM.
Not familiar with the device, Are you using a powered usb hub?
No hub just a straight USB-C to USB-B cable from the iPad Pro to the synth.
Sounds like it may not be Class Compliant, see https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/37241/any-ipad-daw-connecting-to-roland-hardware-advice-on-best-way.
A definite possibility.
From what I understand it is not as far as audio goes, but I thought the MIDI implementation was.
