What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

A Looper with MIDI control.
A Drambo native looper without using any external utilities. Works standalone because it loads Drambo as an AUv3 plugin inside Drambo.
This is because Drambo does not suport local MIDI loopback (yet?).
Track 2 is set up to record from external audio which can be either your iPad/iPhone microphone or an external audio interface.
REC, RESET and CLEAR can be mapped to MIDI messages as well.

This is just a simple proof of concept, feel free to build a more advanced looper based on this idea.
