Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Solution! Recording multiple AUM channels to Logic!
Trying to keep this brief and very specific but if you ever need help reply here and I’ll do my best to help you, here goes…
Q) I want to record multiple channels from AUM on iPad to Logic Pro on the Mac at the same time. What is the *easiest way?
A) In MY experience the solution is a iConnectivity Audio4c. It has been sooooooooooooo super easy to get 9 stereo channels (18 monos if you want) from AUM on iPad to Logic on Mac.
- it isn’t perhaps the only or cheapest way BUT having tried the many other painful options they just don’t seem to work or aren’t stable enough to use in my setup.
I ought to mention here that I have a Focusrite 18i20 in my rig already but that oughtnt to have any impact here with regards to the general concept/setup
I tried other options like the Audiofuse via ADAT and don’t want to say bad things about their tech cos it’s pretty cool it just didn’t work for me
I’ve held off posting this cos often I’ve found new stuff works In my rig cos I’m focused on it but when I come back to using it, it doesn’t work. The connect4c does seem to work fine after my usual switching kinda workflow.
No. This is not a goon endorsement!
