In my opinion it is one of the best iOS synths and a must buy - probably a bit underrated. It has several features that makes it outstanding in the iOS ecosystem, especially to have these features combined in one synth.
This synth sounds great with its own character. There are some great community presets here on the forum. On the downside there is not much. The FX section is rather simple: no reverb, and delay is only synced. But if you are using it with AU FX in an AU host it doesn't matter.

Small update: After browsing my own presets I think I'm mostly using this synth for pads, pitched noise, super saw and arpeggiated classic analog sounds. Not so much for basses although I find the filters quite capable for that. I think in most of my projects I somehow rather turn to viking or mood for basses. I think I should revisit this synth for bass sounds but it's so easy to produce layered pads with it that evolve... It's so easy to get lost in that
Lagrange has a very individual character. I use it a lot particularly for layering into pads with other synths ... gives a brittle, percussive flavour under slow pads and drones. Very nice arpeggiator. Likes a bit of delay added on. Works nicely with strings and brass. Very useful resonance.
It's a very powerful synth with great capacity for control and experimentation - like all Icegear synths - but it might not lend itself immediately to hard bass-lines ... I'm sure they're in there, it's just I'm not looking for them... not a sound I use. When they do turn up, they'll be interesting.
I'd say Lagrange is a 'complementary synth' and the comparison to MicroFreak is spot-on.
It has its own character and is very fun to tweak. The sheer number of oscillators makes it an easy tweak heaven.
With a little added BEEF it becomes pretty beefy
I use lagrange a lot, its fun and interesting with a lot of character, i mostly use it for plucks and pads but i feel like it could do some good bass as well.
