Helium is a lightweight AUv3 MIDI sequencer plugin designed specifically for AUM. It supports up to 16 tracks of unlimited length with the ability to direct output to 16 channels on 4 MIDI output ports.
One of the great features is the ability to import and maintain libraries of MIDI clips using Helium's 'Media Bay'. These clips are freely available all over the internet and may contain individual chord sets, chord progressions or drum tracks. You can quickly build a song by dragging and dropping your MIDI clips from the media bay onto your timeline. You can also save your own clips directly to the media bay to create your own personal MIDI clips libraries
Helium allows many different ways to import MIDI clip libraries. Simply drag and drop your ZIP collections directly to your PC/MAC web browser and they are automatically unpacked into the clips library folder. You can also drag and drop files between the Media Bay and the iOS Files app.
Helium supports a sync mode called 'Remote Looping'. This was something we recently introduced into our MultiTrack Recorder plugin and is very useful for breaking down the timeline into sections. You can define up to 12 loops which can be used to specify the locations of say the intro, verse, chorus, and outro within your song, then trigger these loops seemlessly in sync with the host tempo. Once captured, these loops can then be triggered by incoming MIDI notes.

Regards the triggering the loops does this mean you need a separate instance of Helium (or Atom) etc to be the master controller?

Just joking. But for me it would be quite useful. I’ve got lot of mpe apps, lot of controllers but only cb3 to use them😂

But bummer I was hoping that I could copy a folder of midi files over to that directory.. its there but does not show up in the media bay.
Apologies if I've misunderstood but have you imported in standalone? It's the 3rd icon in the row at the bottom of the gui. Press that and select "import clips and songs". Anything in the 'clips' and 'songs' folders get imported.

I’m doing this right now, not with my Oxygen 49 yet, just the AUM keyboard. But I can only get it to work on Helium track 1. I have different synths on track 2 & 3, and if I switch to track 2 or 3 and tap notes on the AUM kybd, I still hear the synth on track 1. Any idea what I’m missing?
PS, this thing is just great... I’m really used to the Gadget sequencer, and I feel right at home on Helium...

You should contact the developer and let him know. Letting developers know directly conveys more to them than if you try to do it through someone else.

How are the tempo/time signature settings?
I realised that the 800mb archive contained lots of different formats and the one I wanted was just 20mb. I loaded that in from the local disk and it hung for about 30 seconds (meaning that it does unpack rather than browse the file). When it woke up then my drum midi was there as expected. Only used it for a few minutes so far:

bought it. can't have too many choices.
As a pure MIDI editor Atom 2 wins easily, based on my playing so far. The limited zoom and ability to manipulate the notes as well as the oddly limited undo history means I will not be using it to edit MIDI. I will however be using it to browse MIDI files as that works well.
For me it’s much easier on my eyes, I like the dark back drop and it has a midi mixer. It’s really up to the user but I’m definitely going to use it more than I do Atom 2.
