Hi,

is there any decent (hopefully free) way of sharing the iPAD screen to a Mac desktop that people here have had success with?

    For what purpose? OBS (open broadcast) lets you mirror the display.

    You can open Quicktime and open a Movie - if you're hooked up to the Mac via Lightning-to-USB you'll see your iPad as a Video source. Only caveat with Quicktime is you can't use it in conjunction with IDAM. I also use Ebosuite with Ableton Live when I want multiple iOS video sources.
