What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. We just released our new 6 song EP, of which 2/3rds were started on the iPad! Ever since I got the iPad, I was waiting to find a good way to work it into our tunes. I had purchased it near the end of our last big project so it didn't get much use there. On this one, many of the synths and sample mangling was done on the iPad. Some of my choice apps were Borderlands, Samplr, NFM, Addstation, AUM, iDensity, and Strng. My writing partner and I both really loved working with the stems as opposed to MIDI in the DAW, it led us to some more creative places.
