Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Another MIDI w/Auria ?

Hi. This is my 1st post but I've been lurking for some time and this seems like a great community.
I was wondering if I could sequence my synths(animoog, for example) in Beatmaker II, but route the audio to Auria for tracking? ...or would I require a dedicated iOS MIDI sequencing app. Thanks.

You could certainly sequence your synths with Beatmaker while still recording audio into Auria. If you keep Beatmaker in an Input slot in Audiobus, you're still able record MIDI in and send MIDI in/out with Beatmaker. Really, if all you want Beatmaker for is MIDI stuff, you don't even need Beatmaker in Audiobus at all (MIDI will still transmit between apps when they're not in Audiobus).

  • Very cool CalCutta. Looks like I've got some experimenting to do. :)
