Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Novation Remote Zero SL midi controller (now discontinued)
Will the Novation Remote Zero SL midi controller work with the ipad if the controller is fed a 9volt supply? I know this is now an old controller but seems to offer plenty of scope. I do also have a yamaha midi connector I could use with it, hust in case the usb needed to be compliant.
Cheers guys

It will definitely work. You just need to connect it to the iPad via USB with a CCK and power it as you said. It’s a great midi controller, I have the Remote 25SL and I love it.
I have a Behringer audio interface would that work inconjunction. Plus the the transformer is it a standard 9 volt transformer or should I beware of milliamps (not an electician guy)
Cheers man for your help
You’d need a usb hub to connect both the audio interface and midi controller to your iPad. You could even use a powered usb hub and power everything via a powerbank.
If you go with the 9V adapter you should pay attention to the polarity. I have one that I sometimes use with my Remote 25SL. It’s a universal power adapter with selectable voltage and reversible polarity at 300mA.
Anyone know if it still works with Ableton mapping the faders to the mixer and the rotaries to the selected plugin on Catalina?
lemme share some templates I have,
Animoog / Animoog Z / Model D / Sunrizer /
Yamaha DX7, the dx works great with KQ Dixie
