Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Question about brusfri optimization in AUM

edited January 2021 in General App Discussion

Hey guys, I'm sending in an audio signal to my iPad using an audio interface. There's some noise that I am using brusfri to get rid of. But I want to sent this audio signal to multiple tracks to parallel process the audio effects, so that some tracks are wetter and some drier with different effects. Which means, right now, I need to open a new instance of brusfri to get rid of the noise with each new channel. Which is killing my CPU.

I want to send multiple mix bus channels from a single channel that has brusfri loaded, but it seems like I only have the option of sending one audio channel to one mix bus. Is there a work around so one channel can send multiple mix bus's so that I can Mix to mix bus A-E?

@louis I think this is simple. You send your pre-processed channel to a bus. Then use that bus as the input to the other channels, with the different FX processors.

Edit: Here's a simple sample screenshot. My source is an instrument, but could be an audio input, with processing, as you describe,

  • DOH! That's so obvious lol, thanks for the help!
