Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
OT: Monitor size
I'm writing about monitors, and I thought I'd check in here to see what sizes you're using:
- How big is your monitor (and its resolution, roughly)?
- How much bigger is it than your previous one?
Also, anyone using a monitor with their iPad? If so, how big?

MacMini with 28" 4K...
...used to have a 23" 1080p before that.
32" 1080p TV for AirPlay from iPad and iPhone when needed.
Been at 22" 1080p for over a decade.
My primary Mac monitor is a 24" 4k. I lean toward resolution and real estate vs. just sheer size. I run it at 2304x1296 (Retina) rather than the 1920x1080 (Retina) native of 4k. I was looking for a 27" 5k, but the upcoming 40" Dell 5k2k has my attention for sure. I'll try running that at a 1440 apparent vertical resolution though.
I just put Moog Model 15 full-screen on my 32-inch monitor, and turned it vertical!
It looks pretty rad, but calls out to be touched.
27" 4k while working on music on a computer or playing games, both rare. 24" for working most days plus laptop screen.
IPS and proper color gamut is most crucial in my mind for all screens.
37” tv as my monitor. I found it on the curb on the way home to meet my Apollo x8 being delivered a year and a half ago. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to warm up but it was free.
When work returns, I would love to get an ultra wide curved monitor.
This is the most recent monitor I bought, the other month:

32" 4k BenQ IPS monitor, it's lovely. Comes calibrated from the factory.
Both secondhand:
My MacBook is a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) with 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, 1 TB SSD.
My monitor is the Apple LED Cinema Display, 27-inch (2560 x 1440). It has the advantage of connecting to the MBP via FireWire, and has 3 USB ports of it’s own which work as if they were directly onboard the MBP. (I found that my Launchpad and LaunchControl didn’t auto configure in Ableton if connected via a hub)
2 x 32" 4k BenQ IPS
Thanks for the answers, folks!
I just got (probably) the same model after 13 years on a still functioning dell 24” 1920x1200. Love it so far
