Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Audiobus Experiment with Jordan Rudess

  • Nice video!
    Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Wonder if he realizes he can send DM1 down its own path clean and still have the midi clock control effectrix/geowank?

  • It's a shame geosynth feels abandoned... What a beautiful awesome controller for its own sounds ... The first one that really takes the touch interface to a different level.
I hope Rob F can get back into apps and pursue his r&d with midi !!
Hoping JC can think of enhancing geosynth and atleast adding more samples to its sound engine

  • It's not hard to create samples for Geo using SampleWiz

  • The only novel element here is Effectrix. But it's another opportunity to promote Geosynth and Jordan Rudess ;)

Promoting ones own work , just how awful can he get? (sarcasm off)
Yes making samples and importing with samplewiz is a breeze. It is fun to do also.

I think GeoSynth is mostly Rob Fielding's "own work" but that's splitting hairs, perhaps ;)

  • Rob did the coding, but Jordan got Rob to add quite a bit he wasn't at all keen to add.
Interesting that Rudess is an anagram of duress...
