Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

iMazing device limit?

I saw two websites that mention a sale for iMazing:

https://stacksocial.com/sales/imazing-2-ios-devices

https://imazing.com/store

Not sure what exactly the first site is.

But anyway, on both it seems clear that you need to link your devices and that you can only use the software for the lifetime of that devices.

There is no mention of exchanging devices, so that seem to mean that i one gets new devices every year, it would also be required to buy new iMazing licenses for them.

We have iMazing users on the forum, could you comment if this is true?
Or is there a way to rotate for new devices?

  • Wow, that’s new. Yes, looks like it:

With the Device Lifetime license, you link your iPhone, iPad or iPod to your iMazing license for the entire lifetime of the device. No paid updates, and no computer limitations.

Manage your devices with iMazing on any Mac or PC. And when it's time to extend your license to a new iPhone or iPad, you can easily purchase an additional device pack straight from iMazing and keep the same license code.

I have a full, non-subscription licence bought about 2 years ago. Apparently, they don’t sell them anymore - now you have to pay for every new iOS device, or you pay a hefty sum (they call it amazing value :D ) every year for unlimited use

  • Sad thing.
    I'm out then, i think.

  • Too bad Apples own iDevice management apps s*ck so bad...

I meant the 'Mac App', it's quite lousy :)

I struggled with this when I was setting up iPad management as part of the IT in a new school...never again!

Yah that is a bummer, but it was always too expensive for me before. This way I pay 13$ per device and I only need to use one now so no biggee. It will probably take years for me to use all three and I think my device needs pretty much plateaued.

  • I asked for clarification of my situation - I have a "Single" licence - this is what I got back.

"You have a Single legacy license. Single means that you can only have it active on one computer at a time and legacy means that it will only work with iMazing 2.

All our new licenses will work on any version of iMazing (3, 4, etc.), no need for an upgrade."

So it looks like I'll need to get a new licence if I want to upgrade beyond my current version...
