Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Simple iPhone midi editor for cropping files?

I have some long midi files that I would like to take sections from and save as smaller 1 - 2 bar segments for import into Genome. Is there a simple iPhone app for doing this? The workflow would involve either cropping off front and end sections of the midi data and saving, or preferably highlighting a section and then saving that section as a separate midi file. Thanks.

  • The best midi editor on the iPhone is Nanostudio. It is very easy to split, crop, transpose etc. with it, but you'll have to use the PC to transfer the files between the apps.

  • For this purpose (import, crop, export to other app), Fl Studio mobile or Xewton Music Studio should be ok (maybe the free version of Xewton Music Studio can do it, not sure), but the app file size is BIG.

  • Nanostudio is perfect for this. Beatmaker has dropbox support and ripped most of nanostudio's midi editor.
