Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Joining in with a loopy pro demo. Recorded a few Auv3s sequenced by Riffer and Fugue Machine. Mononoke, Pure Acid, Ripplemaker and Resonator from the Spectrum synth suite.
Loopy pro really makes me finish stuff on the Ipad again. Being able to quickly record and arrange. No cpu overload anymore, all audio. Great app!
Looking forward to listening to more demos here.

    Nice!

  • Happy new year and thanks to all of you who are keeping this thread going. There is so much great stuff here.

One other thing. Are any of you up for jamuary? I have been pretty game on that since @Thepixelproducers mentioned it back in september. but I think that i need to commit my self in public to be able to follow through but I don’t want to be that annoying guy who is spamming this thread.

See you on January 1st !

  • it's jamuary already? :open_mouth: how does it work?

Blocswave (Ableton link sync) in Audiobus fed in Loopy in AUM, MIDI recorded/played back by Xequence 2. Bass is iSem & DRC. Squeezed into barricade after multiband compressor and Spatializer.

  • Let Jamuary begin...

Using Loopy PRO only as a midi controller, sorry lol

  • Yes its on.

I hope you like that 303 sound cuz there is a whole lot of that comming your way.
Btw my first Trance track for ages.

  • Going back to the beginning to start Jamuary. Xewton Music studio and ThumbJam. A couple classic apps along with Future drummer and effects.

  • Jamuary 2. guys.
I’m not as tired as yesterday so I think that I can deal with a faster pace and some drum’n bass..

  • This is my day 2 of jamuary, it wasn't a very good day today so I used just Korg Gadget and nothing else:

I think you would benefit of having a compressor on the drums and on the master a limiter, it seem you have barricade? just slam it there to get to that 0dB peak, I think the volume of the piece doesn't reflect the intention of the music.

Great energy on this jam. Good stuff ! Gadget can be very powerful all by itself. Well done.

  • Day 3
I can always get something going quick in GarageBand. The sounds just keep getting better.

  • This jam turned out a bit loud but it is okay because it is a quiet one..
i should have given the mix a bit more love. But hey… your daily jamstar also need to to sleep.

Thanks @cokomairena thanks for reminding me of the limiter. I have tried to make it a rutine. As Dean from Electronisounds says “protect your ears your phones and your speakers” 😊.
And btw i like your jam. Nice energy..

That bass was nice, I should use pure acid more, I bought it as a thank you for GR-16 xD

I took a little break from Loopy to record a little tune for today using one of my favorite iOS instruments, the amazing GeoSWAM tenor saxophone. I purposely kept it simple as to not do any disservice to the classic song.

One of my favorite Xmas tunes. You nailed it beautifully.

Wow I'm really impressed with all this loopy pro stuff I'm hearing! It's a different workflow from what I'm used to, and I'm still figuring it out, but it's been fun so far. If you don't mind sloppy and aggressive, here's my contribution (mandatory weird artwork included as always).

Love that. Reminds me of the Vangelis tune in Bladerunner when Deckard was talking to the guy who made snakes, but with a dash of Deep Forrest like rythm. The artwork feels right at home. Very H.R. Giger.

Seems like Loopy PRO is so versatile.

I actually broke down and bought Korg Gadget while it was still discounted in part because of your music. I hope I can do something half as good.

Awesome tracks. The first two are better than caffeine to get one going. =) Nice use of Pure Acid on the first track also. Really like the third one too; I tend to enjoy that kind of tempo and moodiness.

Wow thank you for your nice words! Don't doubt to hit me up if you have any questions, I love talking about music making, and korg gadget has so much to offer!

  • Day #4

Quick team up with Blocs Wave and Figure.

    Leaving the melancholy of yesterday.
The lyrics are in danish and you don’t wanna know the meaning….. Nooooouu they is not naughty. They are just really silly.

    @AlexY thanks 😊.

@cokomairena thanks and yes i really love pure acid. It might be one of my most used apps. Also nice to use the 303 as it was originally intended- a bass synth. But to get the sound on this track I had to un303 it with some really heavy EQ. Never got into Groove Rider. There is just SO many apps to learn but you most defently makes it sound GREAT. And also super nice groove on jamuary 3.

@Thepixelproducers really nice sound on jamuary 4
