Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Quantiloop Pro (ARM for record as MIDI Slave)?

I'm syncing Quantiloop through Ableton Link so I can set tempo and sync start. This works well. The metronomes are totally in sync and they play together with no latency. But on the QT side, I can't figure out how to set it up properly to record in sync with MIDI START/STOP. Here's what I want:

  • select which loop I'm recording to (set to 4 bars)
  • arm it (track is blinking, ready to record when it receives a MIDI start command)
  • press play on Ableton, count in 3..2..1.. play
  • when Ableton's timeline plays, Quantiloop starts recording in sync
  • records audio until bar 4, then starts looping automatically while Ableton moves onto bar 5 and so on
  • then I can then select track #2 on QL and it waits for the start of the next bar to record so everything will be in sync

Is this possible? How would I set this up? So far I can get it to play at the same time, but I can't get any of the record functions to respond to MIDI SYNC. Thanks
