Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Auto connect Bluetooth MIDI devices? (Scriptable?)
I have spent too many of my waking hours going into the Settings panel of AUM or AB3 to connect Bluetooth MIDI devices. Why can't we just auto-connect a BT MIDI device when we turn it on? Any scripts or other tricks for making this easier/faster?

What type of devices are you connecting? I connect my Korg nanokey studio in a few seconds.

I'm with you on this. I think bringing it out of the buried menu and on to the main screen in AUM would save me the most time. It is only a few seconds to get down there, but a few seconds many many times. I did the maths the other day of how much of my year would be spent if I brushed my teeth for the recommended 3 minutes a day and that was fairly shocking (over 18 hours). I think I probably spend more time connecting bluetooth devices than I do brushing my teeth.
Never seen acpad before. Is it good? I think I want one already...
EDIT:
just tried this web demo, definitely want one.

This is my point exactly. I don't understand why the app creators bury this in the UI. I was kind of hoping to work around that by using some kind of scripting option (since I doubt the app creators will all get on board with changing their UI). I know nothing about scripting options.
Oh, it's unbelievably cool and works as advertised as a MIDI controller. The one big challenge is that the suction pads don't really work that well, so you'd have to be willing to use alternative ways to attach it to a guitar. Or just deal with it falling off from time to time.
Thank you. I love this, I'm on this thread excited about the future of bluetooth midi devices and on another having deep Alchemy nostalgia. I've dealt with much worse than bad suckers on this journey, including falling off from time to time. Have signed up to the acpad mailing list. Now if I could just do get to doing some work to earn the money to buy the gadget...
