Pretty sure I tried this on vocals with very far from acceptable results
Yep, just checked it again. Totally incapable of recognizing pitch bends or vibrato. Not terrible in note accuracy as long as you play with buffers, gate etc.
I also spent about half an hour playing around with Spotify’s Basicpitch.io (basic pitch, get it? 😜) and trying various settings. Better than A2M I would say but not accurate for any kind of complex, traditional-folk-style natural singing style.
I haven’t tried with any form of vocals but it worked well on clean bass. Not so well on distorted guitar but I do mean heavily distorted!
If I was a betting man, and was asked to bet on whether it’s functionality would suit you needs, unfortunately I would bet that it wouldn’t. However, I could be wrong. I quite often am!
Well, luckily you can demo it free. It IS pretty good for doing simple basslines though, and out of the box does them a LOT better than that Spotify website. Still, no pitch bend, tragic!
Also it does not translate velocity in any way. Whether you sing quietly or loud, the notes come out at exactly the same velocity, as long as they're loud enough to go over the gate threshold.

at this point i’m not sure if MTS “prints” note expression information, though i do know a long list of parameters including MPE and MIDI 2 can be tweaked when writing midi
1 finger slide in the gray stripe across the top of the keys
check out the other interfaces ("options" on the keys left) where there is cello guitar etc which can per note slide, vibrato and other MPE stuff. also an option to insert au midi controllers and midi fx, a different angle thna the slots available on the tracks themselves.
im seeing only velocity:
Mr Bremmers the dev is open to adding features, on his forum. humble-bragging to say i had a small part in adding some. ahem Matrix sample you're welcome. He might add some printing of pitch bend etc.. Seems like the code is back in there already somewheres, what with the controller curve drawing in those params and more...

Difference i think being that this is an instrument- recorded through the device speaker, Animoog the 1st, on my iphone...
the first example was my Eeyore style singing, same mic-ing
more to research, havent tried imported tracks since Mr Bremmer added per note midi...havent looked at every single per note parameter lane being written and theres a lot of those available (a lot...)
the general note on MTS, it was written originally for both Windows and Mac before 2009, its the only actual and 99% fully fledged port of desktop DAW on the platform, and the iOS version is arguably better in many ways than the desktop
the MPE AND MIDI features are included in the base price, pro extension not needed
Cheers! Maybe if you're there often, you could throw that request in, seems like you have some heft there! If he was able to implement this well, it would be pretty amazing, as not even a company like Spotify with their massive coffers have pulled it off, though I believe there are maybe some desktop plugins that do pitch bend. How successfully I'm not sure. This is a tricky thing to implement, otherwise it would be standard, as most people can sing a melody line far better than they can play it on guitar or keyboard. Definitely it's something I would use a lot if there were a quality implementation as I'm a better singer than anything else.
ThumbJam may do OK for this, as long as you turn off the quantize (use the “ramp icon” mode in the input pitch tracking popup), and assuming you properly match the pitch bend range at the target.
