Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Korg Gadget Midi Out To Drum Machine
Is it possible to create drum tracks in Gadget and have them send midi out to a drum machine?
I love my drum machine but it does not have a song mode.

Yes, you can do it with Taipei, Gadget's midi out device. You will need to learn which notes trigger which sounds in your drum machine.
How would you connect the drum machine? I have an old Zoom MRT3- which sounds great but is a pita to program- and 5-pin midi in, but how do I get midi out of the iPad?
You would need an Apple CCK and a USB to MIDI adapter cable.
I use an Apple CCK3 dongle and this

I assume those USB to MIDI cables work in a lot cases, but the reviews looked pretty scary, and I always worried about compatibility. A good interface that has DIN MIDI jacks solves a lot of problems. I have the Behringer UMC204HD. I have no delusion that it's the highest quality interface, but it was like $100 and it ticks all the boxes. I can run guitars , synths, or mics into it, or plug in my iPad via USB/CCK and use it to sequence DIN MIDI gear with the output jack (this does require a powered USB hub between iPad and interface, unfortunately). And the UMC204HD also serves as a "mixer" of sorts because it has direct speaker out jacks for my cheap monitors.
Must get Apple cck. It’s too hit or miss and and many potential problems with 3rd party cck.
