Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Video jukebox / VeeJay etc apps? Best of at this point? REALLY asking for a friend...

Brother-in-law (fine fellow) is a singing zoologist whose work is mainly online now and is hoping to incorporate videos/play them live etc as part of his show etc.

I have not kept up with video options for this sort of work on iOS, but I know there have been a few entrants over the recent years.

Any/all suggestions/thoughts to point me in the right direction much appreciated.

  • Hi,
TouchViz is a nice stripped-down vj-app, that works ok.
Typical vj-thing: 2 players, crossfader, a few (basic) effects. Supports files-app, works fine with external monitors/projectors (using the apple lightning to hdmi dongle). connects to midi and OSC.
One major flaw: no audio! (at least for me...)
    cheers
