Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Take care everyone! Was fun being a part of the community

  • I don’t understand, but okay I guess. You take care too.

@Samflash3 Just when I was getting used to you saying goodbye

  • Go well @Samflash3. I get the need for a timeout (most will) but remember, it’s cool to come back anytime. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Just breeze in and out, all casual like. See you downstream I guess.

This. Good luck Sam, take care man

  • See you later man.

Whoa, was not expecting a positive response (especially with the past few days). I do apologize if my threads came across as click baits or trolling.

Okay, here's something coming up that I haven't made an official announcement. I'll be hosting a contest in the middle of June. I can't post here for a while or even at all (because of reasons mentioned above), but it'll be on Reddit, some Facebook groups, Instagram, and on my Youtube page. The contest is pretty straightforward, but a developer was really awesome and sent some codes

I'll upload the contest details in the middle of June. But if you want a head start, you can dig through my previous post that I did this month. Arrrgh...I'm doing it again. Here's the link to the post:

    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/39225/guitar-experts-i-need-your-help-in-recreating-a-few-sounds-and-a-good-sound-design-recommendation

Summary: I'm gone. But I'm thankful for all that you've done. There's a contest but I want it to be open to every iOS/iPad producer. Because we really need developers to invest in better apps on our platform.

Stay safe, everyone. See you on other platforms (but only if you want to. I would never force anyone to do anything they don't want to do.).

You could always just stay you know, And pop in every now and then. There's no actual requirement to leave. Hence why I don't say goodbye but see you later!

  • @gonekrazy3000 Yeah, but that would be me lacking resolve. I gotta be a man of my word, and mean what I say. Plus, I think @Philandering_Bastard and @0tolerance4silence are tired of seeing my name show up more than once in a week.

Okay, for real. I'm signing out now. Just wanted to leave that post earlier as a small present to everyone.

  • @Samflash3
    Say it ain’t so!
Just ghost us for awhile but stay put. Your particular flavor is needed in this stone soup.

Just leave the account open... This forum never needs to be a job. Just a place to post questions and share knowledge with someone in need. It only takes the time you have to give to it. It can be addictive
of course but only if you have that need to connect.

  • hehe... you're a strange one... I thought I was ignored :)
But no, I'm not tired of seeing you, in fact you're not even a dot on my radar... believe it or not I was trying to help you to see it from another perspective... I probably went too far and I apologise if I hurt your feelings. I also watched you video and you do seem like a cool dude, but actions always speak louder than carefully chosen words... so here is your chance to prove us all wrong... stay, learn, help, contribute... for the sake of it not clicks.
    Either way stay safe!

  • Would it be cool if I set up a Patreon site where you pay me to summarize the content of each thread on the first page once every 15 minutes (sleep time not included).

P.S. For those without a sense of humor, this is humor. Not 10/10 humor, but pretty damn good nonetheless. At least by Bundaberg standards. Although, please factor in that in Bundaberg, Australia they are so desperate for entertainment they drink Bundaberg Rum and somehow manage to enjoy the experience. It is the foundation of all Bundabergian good and bad times. But why the Polar Bear? That makes no sense to me.

I’d argue that it takes less resolve to leave then to stay. But to each his own. Good luck on your future endeavours!

  • Ok, I give up. Who is this guy? :)

Having read the threads, but not feeling like enough of a contributor to opine, I have to say, this post exemplifies why I love this forum. The humanity, at its best and its bad (but not its worst), is nuanced here. Thanks, all of you. @Samflash3 , you’re clearly a good guy, and well-meaning. I’m not sure I can think of any of you regular contributors about whom I wouldn’t say the same.

My workplace used to be a welcoming, friendly, helpful community before covid. Then everyone suddenly became mean, irrational, more incompetent, and either abusive or apathetic. It has been very disconcerting to see unfold.

I’m not sure that’s a universal experience though. I would say COVID had a positive impact on many people - just glad to be back among humanity, dress codes went out of the window, working from home became easier - I think people I work around came back from lockdown pretty energized and less stressed.

Speaking personally as an introvert, what has happened (in the UK at least) because of Covid has been nothing but positive for me. As it stands right now I am happier in my life than I have ever been and it is all due to the way the things changed as the lockdowns began. The only negative in my view is that for a short while the world - or the UK at least - became a cleaner, quieter, more tranquil place to be with people generally being evidently more polite and respectful to each other, but sadly it didn’t take long for all of that to go out the window once everything started to open up again.

It does seem like things have gone back to a plateau in many ways, but one really good thing for me from a work perspective is working from home for 2 days a week, and that generally means that if I want to take a break and play music I have an instantly accessible piano and drumkit, which would not be possible in the office… 😁

Well, yes, and that of course.

But speaking just for me and my own life it’s turned out very, very positively and my life and general day-to-day is immeasurably better post covid than it was pre-covid. Ymmv.

    Well said

Not to mention that it is yet again an attempt by this member, one of hundreds of such attempts here over the last few years, to stir up controversial topics which have absolutely nothing to do with making music on iOS.
