Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Genome MIDI Sequencer - record sequence from keyboard input?

Can anyone explain how to record a sequence from a MIDI-attached keyboard? The Pattern editor has a 'record' button but the function of this isn't mentioned in the rudimentary online documentation. I assumed I would be able to input notes by playing on the keyboard instead of clicking on the piano roll, but this doesn't seem to be so. If I press the play and record buttons (in either order) it seems I can record and overdub 'live' to the looping pattern, which might be useful too but isn't what I was hoping for.
