Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Thank you, here in Italy no info at all.

  • Just got Qvox which is really good, will probably cave in on Mangledverb by the end of the sale. Great quality algorithms and I use UltraTap, Blackhole and micropitch regularly. :)

On UK app store, the app description says save 50%, but the prices are showing as the full price  Anyone else getting this, or just me ? LOL

Prices were correct for myself on the store....probably working up north to you as we speak dude :D

They've got stuck in the Stoke M6 roadworks LOL

  • i started watching pro-r video’s after watching black hole ones and i feel more sold on pro-r , these decisions!!

Take both. They are both awesome. Sooner or later you’ll end up with both anyway. So go for it.

  • Blackhole is not recommended for earthly purposes. If you need to send things to other dimensions occasionally it’s well worth grabbing, especially at this price!

Much as I love Pro-R (and I really love it!) I think the Toneboosters reverb is just as capable and probably more flexible.

Toneboosters Reverb + Blackhole + MangledVerb (distortion is suberb) combo is probably quite a bit cheaper than the Pro-R at the moment?

she is sitting at 40 usd$ right now 😬

  • Yeah but if you get the ff bundle it works out to about 15 per plugin which is great value for what they are :)

  • Just got Rotary

Have you got Blackhole Richard? I’ve got the Toneboosters reverb, am I right in thinking it can’t match Blackhole stuff? I’ve made big reverbs with it, but never quite achieved the effects I’ve heard in the Blackhole vids.

Yeah I've got Blackhole as well, Blackhole is bigger. At the current price I would definitely recommend Blackhole. Another reverb that can do gigantic sounds is the Virsyn AudioReverb, it can last as long as 100 seconds and it's also one of the very best reverbs on iOS IMO.

    My personal go-tos are:

    Pro-R
    Toneboosters Reverb
    Blackhole
    Virsyn AudioReverb

I own many others, such as EOS, DDMF Envelope, Kleverb, MangleVerb, Eventide Spring, Bleass Reverb etc... but I hardly ever use those.

that is a good deal! i can’t swing it right now but really isn’t bad!

  • how is that spring reverb!

  • Richard, is there a big difference with mangledverb and blackhole?
I know there is distortion on mangledverb but is the reverb good on it?

  • Blackhole is not 'just another deep reverb'. It's the 'deep reverb'.

MangledVerb excels at distorted epic pad sounds. MonzoPro - I think you'd really like it.

Also I thought I didn't want another delay, but actually the Eventide delay is amazing.

    is black hole a shimmer???
    is it too much reverb???
i have so many reverb effects that i like i could run something like kleverb into fac alteza and get some insane but mostly unusable sounds..
i just can’t decide if i’ll really use it or if i just want it cuz appoholic

It's kind of the original 'ambient' reverb if that makes sense. A lot of (recorded) ambient music is just some simple pads played into Black Hole. It sounds beautiful. I'd never want to have just 'one' reverb, as they all have their own special thing - but I could easily get by with this, a good IR reverb and Toneboosters reverb (very underrated in my opinion) for more naturalistic sounds.

The toneboosters one is more naturalistic in my opinion. They feel like different animals to me.

Springy. It nails the sound. Now maybe someone can do a good plate reverb...

Thanks Richard, I tend to think as Tonebooster as my go-to all-rounder. I'll get Blackhole as it's more of a specialist thing.

Thanks, yeah, there's definitely a gap in my fx folder for this type of effect. You've got me thinking about the delay now too...

  • Finally have Blackhole. Woot.

  • @MonzoPro
Something I think you'd really appreciate with these FX apps is that you can morph between two presets. And that morphing is fully automatable, which can result in some really interesting effects.

  • Wondering whether Blackhole will just become that sound that we will quickly tire of because everyone has it and puts it on everything.

Already have MangledVerb which is ok for a bit of grit and verb but i think the distortion is a bit feeble. Still looking for that distortion that will sit below Audio Damage’s Grind.

But really tempted by for that heavenly choir that i will conjure up one day..

  • Wow so such an awesome day! Thank you Eventide!

  • well , can confirm blackhole is def worth it. so much control like you said @Fruitbat1919 and all the other things mentioned here. shes a keeper

  • @eross said:

It’s beautiful and full of character. I especially like the resonant midrange I can get out of it with synths (and guitar). It easily becomes a part of these instruments, rather than just a space to put instruments in. (As a bonus, it makes very usable spring thwacking sound effects when you turn the controls in real time.)

I've only ever used to mangle things, never as just a pure reverb, so I can't really say.
