Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • We've just posted a new video - "Wotja: 'Lite' vs 'Pro' Mode - Which is right for you?" (12 minutes) which we think will prove to be quite handy.

Apart from clarifying the differences, it also gives a useful tour around some of the Wotja 20 user interface.

More videos are coming - if you have any suggestions, do please let us know!

Our current tutorial videos are listed here:

  • Tim has just uploaded a blog post that discusses what we've achieved with this update - https://intermorphic.com/blog/posts/200204-Wotja-V20-Has-Arrived.html

I hope some of you find it of interest!

According to what Tim's blog post - https://intermorphic.com/blog/posts/200330-Special-Offers-on-Wotja-for-6-Weeks.html - there is a little over a week to go on the special prices...

In the past week or so, we've now added a Graphical Pattern Editor to Wotja, which I strongly recommend giving a go!

Plus, quite a lot of the user guide has recently been re-written; we've tried very hard to make it easier to find your way around the user interface, and hopefully try out some more of the features.

    Hoping that all helps!

    Best wishes,

    Pete

Thank you for the GPE. Those text strings were giving me a headache. 🥴

You're very welcome! The last time we had a Graphical Pattern Editor was a very long time ago, back in Koan Pro (for Windows).

That development took a very long time (6 months?); long enough, that we've put off creating a new one ever since, especially back when we had different entirely separate user interfaces for iOS, macOS etc.

Now that Wotja (since Wotja X) is created using common user-interface code for all our platforms (iOS, macOS, Windows and Android), it became possible to create one GPE that works everywhere. The problem was actually creating it - I've been thinking about how best to do it, but in much less time, and with an easier to use UI, for a very long time now.

In the end, I just decided to take the plunge and "go for it"; it took me around a month to code from scratch, and I'm pretty pleased with it!

    Best wishes,

    Pete

  • Incidentally: for any Wotja users reading this - or indeed, prospective Wotja Users! - if you have any feedback on the updated Wotja User Guide, we'd love to hear back from you!
