What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. We are pleased to announce that we are currently working on Automation for Groovebox. Automation has been a highly requested feature by our users, and we are confident that it’ll provide a new range of possibilities within the app.
At the moment there is no exact release date. Automation is something we wish to get right, and as you can imagine, this takes time. Therefore we are currently looking to add to our beta/UX community, to assist with testing features pre-release.

And maybe I might add another wish for 2020 and Groovebox ˋs development: Multiple Outs for the individual synths and drums in AUM would be so useful and make this great sounding app an even better one!

Automation will make a world of difference to this app. It’s a win/win scenario as far as I can see. Users get the fun of the automation and I’m sure it will translate into many more sales.
Are you aiming for all parameters per instrument or not quite as many as that?
Is there any rough estimation at all as to when you are aiming for... even to the nearest quarter?

@AmpifyxNovation great news! This will definitely breathe new life into an already great piece of work. You think you could add in velocity sensitivity to the on screen keys while you’re at it? As in the notes get louder at the top of the key and such

While i have you could you make sure that there will be a Song Mode included in this investigation and update.
Once we have automation we’ll definitely be more inclined to want to make full songs in the app.

Automation will make Groovebox my favorite groove box app on iOS (over gadget, gr-16, electrive wave, caustic, bleass, elastic drums as far as things I have/tried.)
@AmpifyxNovation are we ever going to see midi mapping for Launchpad? Seems so easy to do, you’re not beholden to push hardware anymore, etc... please?!?!?

Thanks for the request! This has been in our backlog for some time 🤭. This is quite tricky for Launchpad, but it should be slightly simpler for Blocs Wave and Groovebox.

Thank- that sounds promising indeed. One more quick question if I may. Is there any news on a filing system for user sounds in Blocs Wave?
We’d like to be able to hit record and turn knobs and have that recorded as automation. If it’s only drawing curves in an editor that would suck.
Why would you think that would be the case? I'd be surprised if it wasn't gesture recording. Ampify seems to keep all the wonky functioning under the hood of their apps.
Probably because this is iOS and it is best not to assume anything.
