Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

ESI M4UEX midi hub with 3 usb host ports

There's also a 8 port version

I found this searching for audio interfaces with hub and I thought it will be useful for some of the forum members with external midi gear setups.

  • Price seems right for what it does. If it performs like it should, definitely seems like a nice midi interface for the price, as it also replaces usb hub from your setup. 3 usb ports is nice because you can fit an audio interface and external storage and still leave an option for usb keyboard for example.

  • Or double the ports for another €70. :sunglasses: https://www.thomann.de/gb/esi_m8u_ex.htm

Looks like it doesn't offer onboard routing — it relies on you and your DAW to point things and other things.

If anyone has either of these, I'd be interested to know if you can actually plug an audio interface into it and have iOS recognize it. That would be pretty cool indeed.
