Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

best drum sequencer app for jazz or pop?

Looking for something which plays nicely with Auria and has realistic, fairly easy to program drum kits.

For jazz it will almost certainly be the upcoming Lumbeat ‘Jazz Drummer’.
In the meantime the Lumbeat Funk, Soft, Reggae and Rock Drummer apps are excellent, if you are looking for realistic drum sounds that could be used for pop, as opposed to more ‘programmed’ sounding drums.
If you don’t mind them having more of a programmed feel, EG Pulse (currently on sale) and DigiStix are both excellent.

  • DrumPerfect Pro will obviously be the best and most accurate to reality, with the most control, depending on your sequencing/drum skills. It is not the simplest though, and it benefits from "bring your own (multi-velocity) kits/samples" (though if you do, it truly excels). It works perfectly with Auria, though if you wish to sync it with Auria, ensure you also add the "master stereo out" to an Auria track (which you can mute) as that holds the sync between the two. After that you can get all the separate instruments out to Auria, for further sub-grouping etc.

If one is willing to invest time in putting together drum tracks, Drum Perfect Pro has the greatest depth and realism, but it requires the musician to invest time in learning it.

Hi, please check these tracks made with DrumPerfect Pro.
They are built from the IAP Jazz Sessions vol.1. That include a complete Jazz kit highly realistic as well as a rich collection of patterns and songs to start playing immediately.

DPP has all the tools to retune, modify the samples, make variations kits, and inject very subtle human feel to the patterns and songs ( tempo and dynamics automation ).
And of course you can use your own samples; up to 160 different ones per kit.
There is a detailed graphical 26 pages Quick Start with all functions addressed as well as an in depth user manual.

DPP matches very well the depth and quality of Auria Pro, and communicate directly in/out with Audioshare and Files app.
The app comes with a free General Midi pack, including an all purpose kit, and fairly complete library of musical genres from all around the world ( many detailed pop, rock, jazzy and latin styles ).

It includes also a free, simple to use, Auv3 song player, useful for expanding the number of drums tracks being played, like one instance playing the drum kit, another the percussions, and so on.

    Pls, check videos:

  • DrumPerfect looks great. But what about the add-on packs. What's the cost of those?

  • Thanks everyone. Decided to go with DrumPerfect.
