Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Sequencing Cubasis’ Classic Machines

Has anyone had any luck getting the likes of Rozeta XOX to control the Classic Machines in Cubasis?
I think they sound great but the lack of a drum machine type sequencer is a bit of an oversight for quick beatmaking.
I can get Rozeta to control them but it’s not mapped to the Classic Machine’s sounds so the only way of getting the BD in Rozeta to control the BD in Cubasis is pure trial and error.
Unless I am missing something really obvious?

  • You could try setting the key map in Rozeta X0X to something like General Midi.

Tap on the 'star' above the midi-port icon in X0X AUv3 and select General Midi or you could manually adjust the midi note numbers to match the desired sounds in the Classic Machines since they have more than 8 sounds.

How to setup X0X with Classic Drum in Cubasis:

    • Add Midi track
    • Choose Classic Drum maschine as instrument
    • Add X0X as midi plugin in then same track
    • Open X0X, select the star-icon to open the key maps and choose Ruismaker (GM)

This key map uses GeneralMidi drum notes that are picked up by the classic drum maschines and should play the correct drums

Thanks for sharing your insights and support!
@TimRussell: The Classic Machines should work great with Rozeta X0X!
