Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Holy shit, I hope this works as well as the original did on a phone. (Or do I? I’ll never get anything done in life ever again...)
Wow...what a great job he did on this. It really feels like the iPad app. It isn't stripped down or anything. Im thoroughly impressed. Dream come true.
Looks great on iPhone. Not sure that I’ll use it though since there’s no easy way to work on a project from iPad on iPhone. For this to take off it really needs to have ability to save projects in the cloud. Maybe it’s already there...but honestly i won’t use it on iPhone much since I’m all iPad for my work.
Just me though. Not complaining just feel this missed the mark considering we need proper Audio and Sample manipulation in the app.
As some one already said, glad this iPhone port is out of the way 👊🏼™️
Interesting. Can’t wait to take a look. Still not showing for me. Is there iCloud access for seemless workflow between devices like in GarageBand and Gadget?
@echoopera its easy to swap projects between phone and iPad. AirDrop is your friend
cannot be easier ! I'm moving projects between iPhone and iPad all the day .. just do "archive" in load/save project screen, then share, choose "airdrop", choose other device - done, in instant it opens Nanostudio on other device with project loaded...
Of course until you don't use AU evils which are not installed on other device
Some will no doubt say they prefer the automatic sync of iCloud, but I'm firmly convinced this causes more problems than it solves. Despite the need to remember to transfer between devices, I'm totally glad iCloud isn't in the equation based on the quagmire or problems with apps like Gadget and AudioLayer.
Maybe someday when it's better implemented. For now, I'm totally happy with simply having AirDrop support.
Can't wait for it to finally make it to the app store here.
So...it's in the app store in the US, but it wants to charge me $24.99. I own NS2 on iPad, and I updated. Anybody pull the plug yet? Wary of the @skiphunt cautionary tale....
Agreed. Its there if u google it and go from there. It's not in my app store yet but that worked for me
Search for Blip Interactive, and it comes up.
I don’t see why iCloud folder access wouldnt be included if Dropbox is but I admit I’m ignorant to any issues with it. Works fine for me elsewhere like any other folder.
Worked for me, it said that it was free update after I approved the purchase. It has always happened this way for me when apps go universal, as mentioned above.
Even though it says it costs the 25 bucks, if you click it to Buy it, it will say “this is free because you already bought it, click ok”.
@dendy Congrats to the whole team and testers on getting this version out. I know it was a huge effort to make this happen. Take some time to rest and let’s push forward on Audio Channels and Sample mangling (time stretching anyone)🤔
Enjoy the iPhone version everyone 👊🏼™️
I really don't like using my phone for music but this is actually a really smooth experience!
Thanks. I knew I was strapped in, but you just like to check with the guys holding the rope, you know?
This is a rappelling/belaying metaphor, but it that is not at all obvious and I apologize if anyone thought I was referring to anything, you know, untoward. Turning my attention to NS2 on iPhone now.
😂
Wait. Of course you can share project (or obsidian patches, or slate bank) also to iCloud :-) just scroll down in standard apple share dialogue, there is "save to files" - and there you are, you can save it anywhere in Files app, including iCloud
Original guesstimate was by the end of 2019. Slippage to satisfy the universalists?
I was pretty tickled a few months ago trying the olde NS on my iPhone 4S. Just one hand with my thumb... quite amazing. Anyway, I will likely get a mini before a new phone, unless the olde 4s craps out.
Congrats Matt!
That’s cool. Just wondering why it isn’t in the save/import area with Dropbox. No Biggie. NS2 is great at what it does and this update no doubt brings it closer to future updates so that’s great too.
Hell yes!!!! Also if anyone is worried about getting charged twice, it won’t it’ll just say you’ve already purchased it
Agreed. I’m always airdropping projects from iPhone to iPad and back again in other apps to work on stuff on the go. iCloud in the way it currently works would cause loads of issues - anyone who’s ever had the Dropbox ‘conflicted copy’ thing will know what I mean.
I also prefer to have control over how they are shared. I have had some issues with a few apps that have built-in cloud sharing.
@dendy did we loose user sub folders on obsidian?
Definitely no, it still works
Jesus not sure why that's so large, lol sorry....
I really hope Matt makes a killing with the iPhone version. These developers out here working hard and not getting paid enough. Great app to make music on the IPhone!!! I don't have an iphone but glad for people that do.
