Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Description
Playbeat is a creative groove randomizer plugin that generates beats and patterns for you.
Unlike an ordinary step sequencer, Playbeat creates patterns using algorithmic and random procedures for generating notes by combining Steps, Pitch and Volume.
Load, or import your own sounds and generate up to four patterns simultaneously to get polyrhythms. You can generate as many patterns as you want and never get the same one twice. That's because there is essentially an infinite number of different possible combinations.
New ways of creating grooves help to break new ground in music and sound design
Quick-fire Unique Rhythm patterns and discover New ways of creating beats on the spot.
Playbeat has been designed to promote music creation both in studio and live performance with a simple and convenient user interface. Endlessly variable and Endlessly interesting.
Playbeat also supports Ableton Link for tight sync between apps on the same network and MIDI Support

I see it’s from the developer of Riffer so has some form.
Ah, I was thinking this was an easy one to skip, but Riffer is one of my most used apps.
Riffer on drums? Amazing!!!
does this app allow you to create your own pattern and then use the randomizer to intelligently randomize based on the pattern you've created or is the only randomization option 'total randomization'?
also does it have loop export?
I'd love to hear an example of what this can do. Sort of hard to imagine from the description.
Ok took the plunge first 5 mins impressions it’s a neat little groove box with some unique features and comes with the classic dice roll on a lot of the functions for Randomizer.
To load samples you need to double tap on them which fooled me a bit, files app import is a snitch and works great.
It’s a AU and IAA. The one big thing missing is stop start link on the Ableton front.
I can see this one growing on me fast.
Flipping heck no, don't make me buy a third drum AU in less than a month...
stand alone as well right?
Standalone yes it shows up as a AU in AB3 but not AUM which is weird so hold the AU bit for now. Still getting my head around it.
Ok it does have stop start link so disregard my last comment. The cc control looks impressive.
Ok can confirm it’s AU but doesn’t expose it parameters in AUM as yet.
Saving a preset doesn’t appear to save the samples with it just the sequencer settings further investigation needed. Anyone else jumped in on it let me know how to save a whole song with samples.
Ok as a AU there is a a bug you have to move the AU window around and resize to get it to show properly.
I don't think Riffer has Au parameters yet either so maybe that won't happen.
Hope it syncs ok...riffer still drifts sync over time I found.
I don't need this and promised myself to use what I already have but.... Yeah Riffer is one of my most used things. Would love to see a video from Doug!
Edit: thanks for video link, @White .
I done a quick video for anyone who’s interested.
Does the AU have midi in and out?
PlayBeat ad:
@Carnbot Playbeat has midi CC input according to settings havent tried it yet.
I don't see midi out...even if it can be loaded as a midi module in AUM...very strange.
thanks, hoping the AU has midi out so not restricted to the loaded samples too
Does it export perfect loops?
Midi inputs show up in AUM haven't tried them yet my ipad battery is flat so recharge needed!
There is a Mac and Windows version of PlayBeat with a trial version you can download:

@Jumpercollins thanks a million for the video. Just what I needed. Resistance is futile, I'm afraid.
Yeah, I'm thinking that too, especially at the price...
This is like Riffer on steroids really. If you put in pitched samples you could get polyphonic riffs. That duplicate sequences feature could allow you to build up morphing chords. MIDI out would be most excellent!
@lukesleepwalker @MonzoPro No problems guys enjoy. Yes midi out would be sweet. O sure if the samples save as a preset. Still testing.
