Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • Strange. The link is broken for me and search won't bring it up :|
Just as well I really don't need any more synths Greg... Neither do you!

    Just fixed the link 😉

Need someone who’s got more time than I do to check it out

  • Impressive IAP list :o

  • Is this like a Wersi for iOS? :D

  • I downloaded it and tried it. It looks pretty interesting but I've no idea about AU - it doesn't seem to connect through either AU or IAA.

  • It’s economic😂😂😂

I think it’s more an arranger than synth like

    Even loads style files

Should be right up @Tones4Christ ‘s street I think.

  • What a confusing GUI! It appears that be a rompler/ arranger but the interface...redundant buttons, ugh!

I couldn’t get it to make a sound! God knows what I’m doing wrong! 😀

There’s no sounds at all without IAPs? Crazy

I don’t know what you were doing wrong either, but I didn’t have any problem getting sounds out of it.

I was being flippant. IAP prices are high, though...

  • Interesting 😌🤪

Got it working on my iphone! Has pretty deep settings too.

Wonder if @McD had a chance to check this app?

  • I think once you hit something that requires the mic then the app will ask for mic access, only them all the sounds and rhythms will work.

  • Too expensive but for folks who have the cash its way cheaper than buying a $3000 arranger keyboard.

  • Its an arranger app based on the korg pa4x arranger.. i will be checking this out..

As Its rather cheap compared to the €3500 Korg pa4x.

Its €27 you are spoiled by Ipad prices..
There is a lot of development time
And only a small audience for products like this
They are barely making any money on this.
A comparable product on PC, V-arranger starts at €350

If the sound quallity comes close to the pa4x its more then worth every penny for a keyboardist.

  • By the way, org comes from (k)org more then from organ

  • I agree its a fair price considering how much development had to go into all the features and UI. Looks great on full IPad screen. I played it a lot last night, some sounds where ok but others were really nice! But i haven’t connected a controller or anything as i only have the base app. It kept me going for a while though.

Also, i couldn’t figure out how to change the split point to play chords on left and melody or leads on right side of keyboard.

I was able to have to keyboard rows which helped but i wish i could specify my own split point. Overall its really interesting but i need to spend some more time. I was able to download a lot of stuff for free bit i cant use it i guess until i pay the iAPs.
