Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Recommendations for an iOS EFX suite?

I am looking for an efx suite and I am asking for recommendations...One that has the usual suspects and presets to start off with. I saw the one from Midiculous but it hasn't got any reviews that I could find, only one that asked if anyone had gotten it to work!! Not very promising haha!

Or should I go for separate eq,delay, chorus, etc etc apps?

Virsyn AudioEffX is reasonable, and has a good set of bread and butter FX in one app. I’ll throw it on a channel when I’m not sure exactly what I want and don’t want to mess around swapping a bunch of apps in and out.

Why not "dip your toe" in the water with some free Blamsoft FX apps (reverb, chorus, filter):

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/zero-reverb/id1051938245

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/zero-chorus/id1056863629

    https://apps.apple.com/au/app/f-16-filter/id1074502761

May as well get their nice free synth while you are downloading:

  • For £4.99 the new one from Gospel Musicians is MIDIculously good value. V high quality FX, and all the bread and butter sounds are included. The IAPs are for things you’re not likely to use that often.

    Virsyn

I see Gospel has something new.

    Tornado for more cutting edge.

I love the old Flux play(I think called) app.. MONSTER for dark experimental

CS SPECTRAL is another not widely discussed amazing multi fx app

  • Elastic FX is a very complete suite. Moreover it could be really funny if you like to experiment.

  • Ifx rack without a doubt.

  • Enjoy iFX Rack, Great intro price. Also, many 4Pockets apps for individual FX. Always good value and best support.

  • Wow, thanks folks - some great suggestions there I'll follow up with for sure!!

Yeah that was what I thought when I first saw it, but I couldn't find a good review anywhere. THx for the positive view on it!
