Which ios synth app comes close to a clavia nord lead synth a1 do you think?

    none, whole NL serie is very unique, on desktop there is Discovery which is trying to emulate Lead 2 but not much succesfully , and freeware Synth1 (a bit better, still nor perfect clone), but nothing on iOS

    There were some whispers that the Synth 1 dev was considering an iOS port

    In terms of structure, sound and capabilities (except being 4-part multitimbral!) I would say it's thor and Synthmaster One. Both have an oscillator section more powerful than the A1, great filters, a deeper modulation matrix ... but they're both not A1 clones of course.

    Haven’t used the A1, but have owned the Lead 2 and 3, and found sunrizer to have a lot of similarities (even though it is supposedly based on a Roland synth). In particular the morphing feature, which is a special feature of the Lead series.

    maybe in structure, but in sound those are two different universes ;) If you're really into Lead series sound, then nothing can even remotely replace it on iOS, although for me best model Clavia ever did is old Lead 2 ..
