Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Question: can an Obsidian or Slate track be reassigned to use an AU synth?
I looked at the manual and didn’t find the info but it could be i the docs and I might have overlooked it.

I was wondering too, could not find a way.
I don't like this.
It's better when the instrument, if any, can freely be selected and changed, like in Cubasis.

Unless I’m misunderstanding, all you have to do is double tap the name of the instrument in mixer view, then select a different type of instrument.
Double-tapping an Obsidian track just opens obsidian ui. I can’t find a way to select a different instrument type. Could you try this and post some screen caps if you can change from Obsidian to an AU. I am stumped (perhaps out of ignorance).

Thanks, @dendy
