Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Can GeoShred do legato transitions when played via MIDI?

Inside of Geo itself I can enable the Legato setting and it will play hammer-on and pull-off gestures on a single string as legato, meaning that it changes pitch without replaying the pick sound that usually comes at the attack of a new note.

But when I use an external MIDI controller to control Geo i can’t figure out how to get the same legato effect. I hoped that if I send MPE-4 MIDI then when I start a second note on the same MIDI channel then it would do a legato transition to the new note, but so far I haven’t been successful.

Any ideas?

The geo apps use a nrpn messages for that.
In ThumbJam it is implemented. (Send continuation nrpn)
It is described in the blog of Rob Fielding...
