Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Best Way To Trigger Backing Tracks on a MacBookPro?
I've used iMiX16 Band with great success on my iPad for trigging backing tracks for gigs, jamming, etc.
Any apps like this on the Mac? I have a LaunchPad Pro that I can use if that helps. Thanks for the help!

Maybe an unconventional solution: Place up to 16 clips into a Nanostudio TRG16 sampler and launch as desired. The mute groups can be used to kill a currently playing sample when a different one is launched.
NS1 for MacOSX:

Or just use Ableton Live Lite and launch your clips by hitting keys on the Macbook keyboard.
Ableton live & scenes.
When I used to do that thing live I learned from this:
