Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

IGNORE THIS ... Nektar Panorama P4 for iPad control?

edited May 2019 in Other

Never mind--the one I was looking at got sold and others are too expensive.

Looking at a Nektar Panorama P4 which seems like a very nice controller (and perhaps a reasonable substitute for an X-Station). The documentation indicates that it's designed for Reason but also works with other DAWs, but has anyone had iPad experience with it? Wonder if it will operate without dedicated power, work with MIDI Learn, all that good stuff. Can anyone help?

  • Any update? This controller looks cool.

If you gonna get a nektar for iOS, you’ll want the LX series. Has midi takeover/pickup (they call it null mode or something).
The P series does not, and that includes the tabletop keyless P1
In the long run, the nektars don’t feel that great, and there’s a lot more out there with far more features for the same price or less.

Good to know, thanks. I remember seriously considering the P4. Not for the iPad specifically, just a general purpose midi keyboard. They looked like a contender.
