Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

AUM Midi out channels to hardware interface /synths

I trying to send midi out of AUM through a hardware interface to various analog synths. When I open up multiple instances of the new Atom Piano roll they all seem to only send on channel 1 (which I don't want). I may be missing something simple in Aum but perhaps I need to buy Midiflow. Is there another way to route Atom's channel one default into other midi channels that I could then connect out to hardware?

  • It’s an issue with Atom, not AUM, you’ll need a MIDI plugin for channel remapping (Midiflow would work) until it’s solved.

I recommend mfxStrip for this purpose. Unfortunately Atom only outputs on channel 1 right now and AUM doesn’t have anything to remap them.

Or maybe Midi Route from Midi Tools might be more appropriate. Either should do the job.

MidiFlow and MidiFire are great too, but they’re standalone, not AUV3

  • MFXStrip was an affordable solution . Thanks.
