Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Master Napp - All Messed Up

edited February 2013 in General App Discussion

Hi everybody, just wanted to share some of my audiobus work with y'all. A little explanation first...

The past three years, in the city of Milwaukee, my good friend has put on an event called All Messed Up. The basic premise is that 64 musicians sign up and are randomly placed into 16 groups of four, and these four strangers must make a 15-20 minute set of original music plus one cover. It's mostly punk music but this year my group and I decided to try something different. You can listen to our recordings at:

This was mostly recorded with GarageBand and exported track by track to MT DAW. Two months ago I had never explored outside of GB, but after finding out about Audiobus, I was able to use DM1, Samplr, and more to make this. I wrote, recorded, performed and mixed all of the music, and my other three bandmates did the the lyrics and vocals. Hope you enjoy!

Also, please check out https://soundcloud.com/the-swinney-samplr for some of my experiments with Samplr. Still getting used to it, but follow me and see where it takes me next!
