Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

AUM & Digitakt —— Routing & Monitoring
What is the best way to route my digitakt audio onto a Channel in AUM so I can record it, place FX on it, etc?
I need to ensure that I don’t get the echo when recording or monitoring. I am struggling with this for some reason. I haven’t ever recorded from my DT before just usually saved my digitakt session for use later, but now I am wanting to record into AUM and I keep getting the double echo.
I have tried going from hardware input (go mixer) to mix bus A then going from bus a to bus b and also sending other audio from internal apps to bus b, then recording only bus B, but I am still getting double drums on playback.
If I reduce volume on bus a, then obviously it is also reduced in recording.
Sorry if this is a remedial question.

Figured it out, if anyone needs help, give me a shout!
I'd like to hear how you figured it out. Also, would it be possible for you to use the Digitakt to sequence the apps hosted in AUM and then route the audio back into AUM?
Yup. That can be done via USB MIDI too. You have to set the AUM MIDI Filters the correct channels. Not sure what you mean by "route the audio back into AUM" in this case—the apps are already in AUM.
DIGITAKT audio can be routed in AUM. You just have to make sure you're not making a feedback loop by sending AUM audio into the DIGITAKT and then DIGITAKT audio back in to AUM... Might have been what the OP was experiencing.
I was using the Roland go mixer, and using the monitor out jack for my headphones. The go mixer works via usb audio with the iPad, and plugging in my headphones was creating a feedback loop for the digitakt drums only. I believe the way I had the mix busses routed was odd. If I use the regular headphone jack on my iPad while letting the go mixer handle audio I/o in AUM it seems to work fine for recording and monitoring without feedback loops.
And, yes, digitakt can sequence multiple apps within AUM no problems. However, if your only using the digitakt for all audio I/O I believe you will struggle with feedback loops and/or monitoring specific channels because of the way the digitakt has to have monitoring enabled for incoming audio and isn’t really handled as separate source.
Not so.(feedback loops)
As long as an audio interface and mixer are used with the set up into AUM.
Just route DTAKTin AUM MIDI CONFIG MATRIX like any MIDI device into the app of your choosing.
All pretty clean.
I do it for several hardware pieces into AUM.
Yes, of course. I was overcomplicating it.
LOL😜
I was worried about separating the sound of the iOS synths from the 8 channels of Digitakt. But...oh, yeah. They're not IN the Digitakt....
LOL
I actually have this thing where I really don't have a use for the Digitakt midi channels.
Oh wait......I bet I can make additional LFOs for my audio channels! Right?
correct, that is why I said if you are only using the DT for all Audio I/O.
My bad.
I don't think I even mentally considered why a person would do that.
Although, MACBOOK sees DTAKT as an interface interesting enough.
Sorry. My fault not properly reading.
LFOs as well as CC control of up to 8 audio track parameters.
Mind read.............
More excited to do this on the Digitone.............
