Grunge with no overdrive or distortion?
That was my initial question back to the lead vocalist on this. We had long played some of these acoustic, but when we started talking recording, I noted, frankly, I don’t usually play acoustic guitar. Never been my thing.
So this is our new “clean” grunge tribute, clean electric guitars, no overdrive pedals, no amps up beyond 9 o'clock on gain or master.
There are iOS synths on here. Most standout roles on Heart Shaped Box, It All Dies Anyway, Hunger Strike, and Them Bones. But it is principally a drums, bass, guitar album. Used Tera, Icegears, Moog Model D, and Ruismaker FM.
