Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audio Out

edited December 2013 in General App Discussion

How does everyone run audio out of your iOS device for live performance? Are you happy with the sound quality?

  • I've connected the stereo line out of a Yamaha Audiogram 6 USB audio mixer to an iPad with a powered hub and camera connection kit to a direct box to hook into the venue's sound system. Sounded good to me. Definitely need to dial in the level of what you'll be playing to make sure it all works together.

  • I am using Dock connector-to-LR-Cinch-Cables into the interface (those also possibly can charge the Pads while connected), and from there take care I am running with symmetrical lines into Amping. Good, clear sound.
