Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Cubasis Transpose? / Please explain.

Could someone offer a brief tutorial on how CBs transpose feature works?
My purpose would be to lower a midi track to respond a partial or octave lower than the original recorded pitches. Does CB transpose make that possible? Thanks!

I’ve just recorded a note at C4 and used transpose to lower it by one octave to C3 and it worked ok! Is that what you mean?

  • Thanks @ajmiller. Can you do it globally or just one note at a time?

  • Just select the individual note in the piano roll and transpose in the same way. It only changes once you press ok. HTH.

To transpose multiple notes, just select the notes first. To transpose all the notes in an event/region just select the event and transpose. To transpose globally, select all events using Select toolbar icon (1st icon in the 2nd toolbar on the top left) and transpose.

Also, check out the new Transpose setting under Setup > Keys / Pads for global transpose in v2.7

  • Thanks so much @MobileMusic. Just what I needed to know!

  • Just to clarify, you can transport the whole part by selecting it on the timeline and using transpose from there, you do not have to open the part and then select all notes. You only need to open the part if you want to only transpose 'some' notes.

  • Thanks @AndyPlankton , that clarifies. Interested in trying it out.

Just remember that transpose is NOT scale locked so you may have to go into the part and tweak some notes after transposing if you are not moving in whole octaves.
