Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Best Apps for Vocals?

Looking for suggestions as to the best app for making vocals sound better. Preferably something relatively simple with good presets for quick, satisfying results. Thanks!

2 essentiel tools: FAC Maxima or FabFilter's Pro-L2.
Forget about the 'squeezing the shit ultra loudness' for a moment and use them with moderate settings. Eg set the threshold to a level just above the dense area of the waveform and peak to any reasonable value way below the zero dB/fs line.
Render the track (in place if available) and you'll be rewarded with a sound that's beefy, yet well defined. Like an upgrade to your mic and channel - things can be very (!) simple ;)

  • Klevgrand Brusfi is really a must if your doing vocals.
