Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

    Uhhh.
The $39 version is 46.5 GB of Instruments & Samples and contains the $29 version of essentials, which is only 1 GB.

I think, this is too much for an iPad... and I don't use the PC for music
    Impressive stuff :o

    Oh I see... https://samplesfrommars.com/products/essential-wav-from-mars

Well 29$ (regular 99$) for this in BM3 seems like a sweet deal for me.

My Kontakt and Battery are too old and I don't see upgrading them... maybe ever?

  • Got it last year and love it.

  • I bought it earlier this morning. I saw on KVR that there is a code that can reduce the cost to just $9. If it really works, I wish I hadn't missed it, and yet it's a steal at $39.

  • Check www.hiphopdrumsamples.com It‘s 50% and they have lot more than drums!

  • I found what I had read earlier:

:) Just to confirm, the code worked without a problem for me.. Came in at $19.00 US or about £15.00 GBP.

Many thanks for the heads up! :)

It works! Thanks for the great info! One suggestion: use the promo code xX$9-AllxX3 and it will only cost $9 for all the Samples From Mars. If you use xX$19-AllxX3 then it will cost $19.

  • what's the difference between the $9 set and the $19 set?

  • Their stuff is a mixed bag, and a lot to navigate, and mostly geared toward more aggressive kind of electronica, but some real exotic and special gems to be found there. Big fan! I used some of their sounds in my most recent release, So Help Me.

  • Thanks for the heads up about the sale. @0__O__3 thanks for the $9 coupon code xX$9-AllxX3. @kobamoto , this code gets you all the samples for $9. The only difference is the price you pay.

  • thanks a lot!!

    Doh! :s

  • I got them all for $9! coupon code xX$9-AllxX3

Also what sold me is these are not just samples but multi samples that are meticulously mapped and looped into instruments for a number of platforms (including Ableton for me). Thats a ton of work to set up yourself.

I wonder if any of these instrument formats are ipad readable, they had a few MPC formats I believe.
(I know the samples themselves are readable)

The downloads are also per instrument so you dont have to grab all 46GB at once
Their download speed is hurting right now as well, probably because of this sale.

  • I went to check this out and the site crashed on me. Haven’t been able to load it for hours
I thought maybe you guys crashed the site with sale haha.
Gonna try again in a bit when I’m back home with better wifi

  • They are amazing. Yes, wavs got iPad. Some Rex also.

  • Any idea which of the sample packs has the acoustic instruments/loops?

I could not resist - 9$ is a too cool offer to not to buy it B)

@espiegel123 There are some sounds build from acoutisc intruments in the S612 package. In the soundcloud player on their all-products-from-mars page each demos shows the package used as cover-image in the top left side of the player.

    .

I‘ll think about buying Virsyn Audiolayer to directly use the ESX file contained in the packs... Unfortunately it is currently not on sale.

The Lyra sampler in Auria Pro also supports ESX

  • I disagree about their stuff being geared to hard techno. The real gems, the drums, are mostly very thoroughly sampled, and mostly unaffected (thankfully) classic drum machines.

I'm not a big fan of synth sample packages since you only get so many 'presets', but they seem to offer a nice variety, and they've provided me a lot of good .wav material to import into Quanta, Synthscaper, and others.

Anyway, their stuff is top quality. So happy they finally got an LM1 a couple months back.

  • Yeah, their samples are basically raw recordings through good preamps like @oat_phipps said.

And they give you lots of formats: Kontakt, Live, Logic EXS, sometimes Maschine, MPC1000/2500, Reason NN-XT, Structure, Battery, SFZ...

They do offer over 2gbs of free samples, but for $9 (from almost $2000) for everything (47gb), that's a steal.

  • Dang. I jumped before that voucher code entered the frame.

Can’t feel too cheated though. At least the money’s gone to the person who spent tens of thousands of hours making these, plus they’ve laid out kits/instruments in Ableton/Reason/Logic etc. Rex loops in there too, apparently. Saves me hours.

I like what I’ve heard so far.

Fab. I just got this. I feel like I've just robbed them.

  • Thanks for the info!

  • Thanks for the heads up on this..dumb question....how are you downloading these samples, my dropbox is full, and cant see how to get them into files as suggested, is it just a slow sever and big files? Trying to select smaller downloads not helping, tried their product support and they suggested using a laptop, which I’d sooner avoid.

Use free Dolphin browser, right click > save as, then import the zip into audioshare. From there you can use Files to place them in any app sample folder that is compatible.

Beware! Doing this via Dolphin for some reason takes up 2 instead of one download, which is why I immediately upload the zip to my Google Drive to be safe. But they are really nice guys and have no problem resetting your download count if you run out.

It is indeed an unbelievable cornucopia for $9. I just wish they offered a 16 bit version. It’s 47 GB because the samples are 24 bit. Overkill for the space-challenged..And too much work to try to covert them all yourself. (When I bought the whole shebang deal last year, I gave up trying to covert them all.) This year they offer this “essential” set, which is supposed to help for exploring the vastness, but actually just ends up creating more bloat, because it leaves out too much. It ends up being an additional redundancy, since you’re still going to want to download the full versions. What is needed is simply a 16 bit version of the full sample set.
