Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Maybe better call it Black Friday sales list. The tradition on BF is that a lot (nearly all) apps go on sales. But looking at this year's sale prices I'm not yet convinced, especially Klevgrand apps are still very expensive compared to last year belive most of them were $1.99. Anyway if you've got a small purse and in need of certain apps all sale is of course welcome :) The trick on BF though is just buy what you need and don't fall into the trap of buying because it's cheap(er). You can end up with apps you never use, what is my personal experience.

  • Here's what I decided on:

    • I'm excluding Noir, because it's just out and a lot of people recently bought it. It didn't feel right to do a discount so quickly after release.

but it is the only one of yours that the cautious or frugal won’t already have ;-)

Fair and good point to exclude Noir :)

@brambos Thank you for this. Will be getting Rozeta. No problem with not including Noir, in agreement with your explanation.

No cookies, sticker is all the craze. Cookies and sweets isn't good for your health ;)

  • There's no current way to track iap price drops or bundle drops is there? These are harder to spot as I don't think any of the regular tracker sites list them.

NOTE: All Klevgrand apps were at last years BF sales $2.99. Bought nearly all, but I'll only use Brusfi. This app, although this year $7.99. is really worth to get. Would even advise it at full price. All other Klevgrand apps have cool looking UI's but you can get similar apps that are better/ cheaper.

Thanks, but was referring to in-app purchase sales and bundle sales, which the tracking sites don't list.

Last year there was some discussion about bundles, seems to be really complex stuff. For that reason a lot of devs don't do bundles.
IAP this are things that are mostly promoted by devs themselves, so you have to watch their sites/ fB or Twitter accounts. Hope some people will post this kind of offers overhere. From what I recall Novation did offer huge IAP discounts last year.

Thanks for clearing this up. Yes 2.99 it was. Klevgrand stuff became really expensive considering their old pricing. Just checked it at Appshopper price history. Shame that Appshopper is a graveyard nowadays.

Agree that Klevgrand stuff looks really great design wise but that the FX are not that special. No experience with Brusfi and Grand Finale. Brusfi could be interesting and will have a look. Grand Finale I passed when it came out. Don't do final mixes on iOS devices.

  • IMO Brusfri beats way more expensive solutions even on desktop, on iOS there is no alternative.

    Hokusai Audio Editor.

I don’t bother with noise removal really though — after gating and hi-passing then I’ve never had a problem with noise in a mix, even recording quiet signals in non-ideal environments

Which better/cheaper apps do you recommend as an alternative to DAW Cassette to add warmth to a track or a full mix, similar to and old cassette feel?

    Thank you in advance.

    Cheers!

I prefer Hokusai Audio Editor to Brusfri
Straightforward/no frills and gets the job done in no time

More likely a redeemable code for the app.

May have been tongue in cheek though? :)
