Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

AUM statesaving

Is it possible to statesave all your apps settings levels etc within AUM when saving the program? If not surely this is a complete and utter handicap to working with it?

Comments

  • Use it with AB for this

If you own AudioBus 3 send your master track from AUM out to that and it State saves. Can’t do it as yet on its own.

No, it’s a handicap working with iOS, not specific to AUM. AUv3 apps save their state IAA apps do not. AB3 overcomes this for apps that support AB3 state saving. Not all do.

That’s just life with iOS. On the other hand, one can always take care to save IAA presets and write down which were used in a project. AUM actually includes a notepad function for this.

  • But with an all au workflow then statesaving possible. Meaning all au is essential and it would be impossible to create real top quality tracks in iOS without it. Live performance maybe but recorded music no chance unless all au

To be contrary here a moment:
Lots of top quality tracks produced on iOS before AU existed

    +1

I really don’t understand this outlook at all. Impossible? Slightly more difficult possibly, but impossible? Huh. (Scratches head and walks away bewildered.)
