Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Anybody ever recovered an iPad from an iTunes backup?
I made an iTunes backup of my iPad Pro 9.7
The backup is about 60 GB.
The iPad totally uses about 200 GB, so I suppose 140 GB for Apps.
I then tried to install my new iPad Pro 12.9 from this backup.
So far, to no avail.
It seems to revocer the 60 GB, but it does not install all the Apps!
In iTunes this is either visible as "step 3 from 3" sticking right at the beginning, not moving at all or this step seems to be finished, but just does not stop.
I checked the storage used of the iPad, and as it seems, nothing gets installed at all.
Am I doing something wrong?!?
Any hint?

I updated iTunes.
I made sure to use USB 3
I also did setup the iPad onceas new before.
As always with Apple, this is quite frustrating
Ah, I am on Windows 10, latest updates.
I have done backup and restore to the same device with a reset in between....but not to different devices.
I think the iTunes backup only backs up iOS and user data...apps need to be reinstalled from the store, although it should do that automatically I believe.
Perhaps it is doing that and you are being a little impatient ? 140 GB of apps would take a while I'm guessing ?
I have. A coupla things. It took a long time (like 24 hours) before all the apps finished restoring--because they get downloaded from the App Store rather than restored from the computer backup. Apps not compatible with the OS weren't downloaded which took me a while to figure out.
Many thanks, @AndyPlankton and @espiegel123
I would not be impatient, if i could see anything that moves - neither the progress bar in iTunes or the used storage did change at all.
And i was already waiting for 2 hours.
So, i thought that something must be wrong and i tried again ... several times now.
Can you remember, if the progress bar in iTunes did move?
As i wrote, mine is either stuck far to the left or seems to be finished but never actually finishes.
I think i need to open a case at Apple
I don't recall if the status bar moved or not.
I will retry and just let that thing stay for 24 hours ....
I can't remember details. I do remember, though. That I thought it failed and erased and restored again and left it alone for a day and got back everything but the 32-bit apps.
This was using iTunes to restore from a backup.
